It is expected that invitation to bid will be made in December 2004Pre-qualification will be conducted through pre-qualification procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, May 2004, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries, as defined in the Guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the pre-qualification documents at the Ethiopian roads Authority (Address below) from 8:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. and 1:30 P.M.- 5:30 P.M. from Monday to Friday. A complete set of pre-qualification documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders starting from September 30, 2004, on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of non refundable fee of USD 50 or Ethiopian Birr 450 per package. The method of payment will be cashier's check or direct deposit to ERA's account NBE A/C NO.GOV.6560-00006-5. The document will be sent by registered airmail but under no circumstances will it be held responsible for late delivery or loss of the documents so mailed.

Application for pre-qualification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address and schedule below, and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalify for the construction works of[state the contract name ,contract identification]".The respective application should be submitted on or before the times indicated below.
